ESL Lesson Plan Past Simple Irregular Verbs A2 is Part Three of "The Past Simple House" series, focusing on irregular verbs in the past simple. Students explore the attic of the house, where irregular verbs live, learn common verb pairs like make/made and give/gave, practise positive, negative, and question structures, and apply the grammar to the story of how chocolate became popular. The lesson combines matching, an echo drill, sentence building from pictures, and a story retelling activity using picture prompts.
