Describing People
In this A1 lesson, students learn how to describe people’s appearance, focusing on hair, clothes, and age. The lesson includes a variety of interactive activities such as games, short stories, and creative tasks where students describe and guess different characters. They practice asking and answering yes/no questions like “Does he have…?” and “Is she wearing…?” while working in pairs and groups to use new vocabulary in fun and meaningful contexts.

Colours & Meanings
In this B1 lesson, students explore the meanings of colours and how they are connected to emotions, traditions, and culture. They learn useful vocabulary to describe feelings and symbolism, and they practise understanding expressions such as “red with anger” and “green with envy.” The reading passage introduces the idea that colours can be warm, cool, or neutral, and highlights how different cultures use colours in meaningful ways.

Sweden, not Switzerland
In this B2 lesson, students watch the playful video campaign “Sweden (not Switzerland)” to explore what makes Sweden unique and how it is often confused with Switzerland. The topic sparks curiosity, encourages reflection on national stereotypes, and provides a fun starting point for cultural comparison and discussion.

Festivals Around the World
In this A2 lesson, students learn about famous festivals from around the world, including Oktoberfest in Germany, Holi in India, Thanksgiving in the United States, Hanami in Japan, and Songkran in Thailand. They read about traditions, celebrations, and special foods connected to each event. Students also play Would You Rather? and watch a video about Thai New Year. In the final task, they write about a famous holiday from their own country or create an original festival.

Getting to Know You
This A1 lesson plan is a great choice for a first trial class. Young students learn simple greetings in English and other languages, practice asking and answering questions like What’s your name? and How old are you?, and give a short self-introduction. The lesson also includes a fun drawing and guessing game that makes learning active and enjoyable.

Rooms
This A1 lesson plan helps students learn basic vocabulary for different rooms in a house, including bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom and study. Through reading, speaking, and labelling activities, A1 learners practice describing rooms and using simple sentences in English. They learn the target vocabulary for different objects in the house and practice using the grammar structures “There is/There are.”
